Using The Skidpad
After configuring and selecting your ride, you are ready to make a timed run. The skidpad screen presents a view of how well you car accelerates, corners, and brakes.
- Go to the “Skidpad” tab.
- With your phone properly mounted as described in the section on mounting your iPhone, stop your vehicle, and press the “Zero” button.
- Dynolicious is now configured to record and display skidpad information
- The live display will always show you the direction and magnitude of force with the force arrow even if you're not currently running a test
- To start recording a test, tap "test start". Unlike the timed run tests, you can tap "test start" even if the car is moving.
- To stop recording, tap "test stop".
The skidpad displays the peak lateral, acceleration, and braking g-forces, however you can display the real-time graph instead by tapping on the display area. You can restore the peak read-out by tapping on the display area again.
Multiple Vehicles
If you have multiple vehicles set up in Dynolicious, you can easily cycle through the vehicles by tapping the button to the left of the current vehicle.
Test Length
There isn't a preset time-limit for the skidpad tests, however tests longer than 10 minutes long may reduce the usefulness of exported graphs.
